Isaiah Lahai’s visit to Rokeby Primary School in February 2013 was both inspiring and thought-provoking. Speaking to students in grades 5 and 6, he shared his life story—one marked by adversity, resilience, and determination.
Isaiah’s message resonated deeply with the students, especially in a school that emphasizes self-expectations and personal growth. His journey from hardship to success, including his university education and fatherhood, served as a powerful example that challenges can be overcome with perseverance and a positive mindset.
His honesty, humor, and ability to connect with the students left a lasting impression, encouraging them to set high goals and believe in their own potential. The school praised his ability to turn hardship into motivation and highly recommended his talk to others, calling his story one that both children and adults need to hear.
